She got married to a local thug

She got married to a local thug
Stingy pickpocket whose fingers were stuffed
How else could we warn her when her ambitions were blurred
In fake engagements whose values held fast

She never sought us when the going got tough
Six thousand kisses couldn't bring him back
For the sentinels bullet did play its part

In diminished spaces that beggars lay mats
Tired of obituaries we sought a way out
For in religious ceremonies we thought we had luck

The widows we sought did dress in black
Painful tears that brought us bad luck
Its the crazy concubines who will break our backs

In sunshine and rain we will hold masks
Anonymous donors will meet our match
Big boys its seems will always payback

Grandpa's inheritance

The stunted lemon tree was our inheritance,
From grandpa who limped in jest of life.

Empty promises delude the gaunt,
His legend inscribed in cheeks he slapped.

Stories written, firm and tough,
We wished to cry but tears fold slow.

Stop the humor clap to pause,
The bird in hand has failed to roost.

Today we rest in shrubs that grew,
On lumpy graves that no one knew.

Still he kept the faith for all,
Wished us well we bow to glow.

Idlers play

Sprawling milky way
What do fools say
Today its sad we mixed the cud
Chewed our dreams away

Coax the banter
Shun the flatter
Hope we are here to stay

Clean the bags and dump the rags
Sweep the chains away

Bread and butter
Sworn to shatter
Help the idlers play

Its about time you shaved

A little bird whispered to my ear,
"S-h-i-g-g-i, isn't it time you s-h-a-v-e-d-?"

Pensive as steel, silent I wondered,
Should I actually shave?

Is it an enticement to abandon fame?

Should I leave fame coz of your shame?
Should I drift coz of your slate?

Leave the experience,
Learn the perches,

Clot the stitches,
Milk the chances,

Trade the roses,
Bring the boses,

Stick the tirades,
Why should I shave?

The one for you

The first five are for you
Touch and go, feel us grow
Help raise my kids with you.

The next two are to you
Chance to glow, fry the beef
Serve it grilled to you.

Still the rest will be with you
Cask the wine, chill it right
Toast a glass to you.

So I can’t do without you
Starch the sheets, kiss the cheeks
Moist the lips for you.

Eleven years I've known you
Sterling gait, stitch in time
That's why am with you.

Hope the cameras missed you

Hope the cameras missed you,
Knees shuffling, hanging issues,
for the barmaid kissed you

Mind to,
Dark glasses, fading linen,
that the barman gave you,

Men sulking, misbehaving,
for the starch in girls room

Old age, creeping gently,
for the make up tries to,

Mix causes, fake choices,
that the blind ones saw you,

Stuffed singles, hidden motives,
so you know what drives you,

Coast has it, mainly titles,
so the hunters run to.

This I feel

Feel I should pick up the phone and call you,

Know you,
pace set to be without you,

Jingle,
the tune singles my navel,

Due to,
painful processes I cant pledge you,

So you,
know its long since we brought two,

Pan-fried,
berries should state the class,

Strawberry,
flavor should fill the glass,

Tight,
lipped screams should salute your pass,

Follow,
where the mist sets to rise to,

Twelve,
months reduced to ten days,

Blend in,
spoil the fun then trap it,

Music,
too loud submerging the craving,

Lights,
out promoting the move to,

Kisses,
thugs splash in your heart most wanted,

Prophets,
diligently revealing mischief,

Gone,
three sweet wishes though longed for,

Out,
left alone I cry at home.
